Accessibility Statement for FoxEducation Apps

FoxEducation is committed to making its digital offerings as accessible as possible. We adhere to the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the relevant national requirements for digital accessibility.

1. Scope of this Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the mobile applications of FoxEducation (iOS and Android) in the respective current version.

2. Compliance Status

The mobile applications are currently not fully compliant with the requirements of EN 301 549 or the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. A short test by an external agency (insertEFFECT GmbH, May 2025) found that basic functions such as screen reader and keyboard operation are supported. We have discovered promising areas where we can further optimize the user experience. These include:
  • Improving screen reader output, for example by providing clearer and more complete labels
  • Fine-tuning focus order to make navigation more intuitive
  • Supporting landscape mode on iOS devices
  • Adding the ability to enter alternative text for uploaded images
  • Enhancing color contrasts in some areas for better readability

3. Planned Measures

Detailed planning is currently underway to make the mobile applications and the web versions of FoxEducation apps accessible by fall / winter 2026 and will be published on this page as soon as the detailed roadmap is available.

4. Creation of this Statement

This statement was created on June 3, 2025, based on an external short test. A full BITV/WCAG compliance check was not carried out.
